10 Step Antiaging Plan
1. Healthy Diet
A balanced diet should include at least 5 types of fruit, 7 vegetables,
bioactive yoghurt and fibre every day. Include small portions of
oily fish such as tuna, salmon and kippers and hemp oil since these
include omega 3-6-9 essential fatty acids. Organic meat can
be taken sparingly for the non-vegetarians. Drink plenty of liquids
but not alcohol or caffeine. Only eat at times when you are hungry
and eat 5x per day to keep metabolism high. Remove sugar, excess
salt (can use sea salt or low sodium high potassium) and ‘bad’ carbohydrates*
(CHO) from your diet
*See the ‘Montignac Slimming Sensation’ book concerning
CHO diet
Suggested Daily Diet:
Breakfast:Porridge or a grapefruit and a slice of toast with
honey and herbal tea
Mid-morning:Fruit salad with Greek low fat
bioactive yoghurt, menuka clear honey and a pinch of all bran
for slow release of
energy
Lunch:A little meat or gluten free pasta dish
with herbs with a juice (see Jason Vale’s excellent book ‘The
Ultimate Juice Master’) to wash it down
Mid Afternoon:Light snack with perhaps a tea
and a piece of dark chocolate
Supper:The last meal should be the smallest
and can include a salad or homemade soup
|
It is recommended that
you use a steamer to cook all your food since this will ensure
that the majority of
beneficial enzymes and nutrients are present. By contrast a microwave
will kill 95% of the goodness in a meal leaving you with a ‘dead’ meal.

2. Drink Water
We are 70% water and it is therefore imperative that we drink sufficient
water in the day. Dehydration ages the skin, slows down mental
and physical performance and puts a strain on internal organs.
Often the first signs of dehydration go unnoticed and are misinterpreted
as tiredness or hunger. A loss of 2% body fluids causes a 20% reduction
in physical and mental performance. It is recommended that adults
drink 2 litres of distilled water every day. Distillers effectively
remove bacteria, viruses, mineral salts such as fluoride, sodium,
nitrates, asbestos and all minerals including heavy metals. The
water has no odour, no colour and when fitted with a carbon filter
will eliminate volatile organic compounds such as chloroform.
Daily Hydration
Before Breakfast– drink about 0.5 litres of distilled water
and re-hydrate the organs of the body that have been metabolising
all night. Water will also flush out your intestines, help prepare
the stomach for food and avoid constipation.
Before Lunch– drink 0.5 litres or less 15-20 minutes before
your meal
Before Supper- as above
Before bed– as above |
Basic Guidelines for Drinking Water:
Children
need to drink more than adults. The average recommended intake for
children between
the ages of 11-14 is 3 litres. The signs of dehydration are the same
headaches, irritability and sleepiness are common symptoms
Sip
warm water with a bit of lemon through-out the day from a thermos
to keep you well hydrated and ensure your bodies pH is alkaline.
Don’t wait until you are thirsty to drink and drink more water
when in a hot climate or flying
Avoid diuretics such as caffeinated or
alcoholic drinks that actually dehydrate the body
Water
at meal times dilutes the digestive enzymes and can flush out the contents of
the stomach before it is digested.
Wait an hour after
a meal before drinking again
As
an alternative to water between meals
you can eat fresh fruit
To calculate
how much water you should drink daily, drink enough to equal half your body weight
in ounces. Thus if you
weigh 100lbs
drink 50 ounces. Adults should aim for about eight cups a day
Use
about 1⁄4 teaspoon of sea salt for every litre of water.
Athlete should aim for 80 to 100g sodium per litre of water. Supplementing
with potassium during exercise actually increase muscle hydration
3. Balance pH Levels
Our diets tend to be acidic since we take in disproportionate amounts
of acidic food and drinks such ad coffee, tea, alcohol and meat.
When a cell is bathed in an acidic environment the lyposome sac
corrodes and digestive enzymes are released that consume and kill
the cell. Acidosis or death through over acidification is the most
common cause of old age. This can be counteracted by reducing the
intake of acidic foods and taking in warm water with lemon that
is converted to alkali pH in the stomach
4. Sesame Seed Oil Massage
Our skin is the largest organ of the body and weighs about 6-10lbs
and is approx. 16% of our body weight. Skin is very active biologically
and is responsible for ridding us of toxins as it self-repairs and
is a rich source of hormones and immune cells. So when the skin is
stimulated there is a shower of chemicals such as natural human growth
hormone (HGH) that can be released into our blood stream. Sesame
oil when rubbed over on feet reduces or eliminates athletes foot,
on hair no dandruff, on skin early on then no psoriasis. It is bacteria
static so doesn’t allow bacteria to grow, never rancid and
is easily absorbed by the skin.
Ayurevedic Medicine recommends that you massage your entire body
with a palm full of oil (4-5 tablespoons) every morning and leave
to soak in for about 10 minutes and then take a shower and repeat
every day. Important areas to concentrate on include the ears that
contain the marmaris points and the soles of the feet and toes that
are especially good before bedtime to aid restful sleep. The marmar
points are junction points between consciousness and physiology e.g.
rub oil between eye browns induces calm restful alertness, souls
of feet induce sleep, over the heart pacifies anger and impatient,
over stomach influences false cravings for food. After a heart attack
if massage with the oil it opens up coronary and collateral blood
vessels and increase the blood supply to the heart.
5. Deep Sleep
Between 1-4am Human Growth Hormone (HGH) levels in the body rise.
It is therefore essential to ensure we get a good night sleep to
aid in rejuvenation and boost our energy levels. It is recommended
that you get to bed by 10pm and if you have trouble sleeping take
a warm bath and massage the soles of the feet with sesame seed oil.
You can also try an Ayurvedic drink for insomnia that is milk heated
up with a pinch of ginger, several cardamom pods crushed up and a
teaspoon of brown sugar
6. Physical Exercise
Regular workouts have been shown to significantly rejuvenate the
body’s physiology helping to increase muscle weight, body strength
and supplety. Every day set aside a minimum of 30 minutes and do
light exercise- maybe a walk in the park, cycle to work, swim or
join a health club. Any exercise programme should be very gentle
at first and gradually build up over a six months to a level that
you feel comfortable. Physical exercise also increases body metabolism
and reduces body fat, toning up muscles (this is especially true
of swimming) and release endorphins so that you feel a natural calm.
7. Meditation
Tests carried out on individuals practicing Transcendental Meditation
every day over a five years period showed that their physiology was
12 years younger than people of a similar age. It is recommended
that you meditate twice a day for 20 minutes using a method that
you feel comfortable with. It could be a simple mantra or prayer,
visualisation of an inspiring figure such as The Buddha or just closing
your eyes and following your breath. If you have not meditated before
then it is advisable to seek out a centre that can teach you.
8. Chi Gung Exercises
Chi or Prana is present in all living things and is the life force.
When it is low or depleted due to physical, mental or emotional blockages
then we fall ill. As we grow older and accumulate more of these blockages
then our life force weakens and the body ages. Chi Gung exercises
will help you to restore your chi levels and heal the body and can
actually reverse the aging process. It is important to receive Chi
Gung training from a qualified master
9. Old Age = Wisdom and Youthfullness!
Deepak Chopra states that our bodies are designed to go on forever.
It is through the notion that we are aging or 'the hypnosis of social
conditioning' that causes us to age in the first place! A survey
conducted on tribal people living active and healthy lives usually
to 110-115 years old showed the single most important factor was
not diet but their attitude towards old age. They believed the older
they got the wiser and stronger they became and their collective
consciousness allowed this to happen.
Reprogramming the Body for Youth
We can re-programme our physiology by giving it positive suggestions
such as:
‘ I am growing healthier and healthier as each day
passes’
‘ My liver is regenerating to full and perfect health!’
‘ My heart and lungs are strong and vital’
Specific suggestions may be needed according to your current
level of health and can be given using trance work. |
10. Supplements
After the age of 40, even if we are eating organic food and have
a healthy balanced diet, we may not be getting the minerals and
vitamins that we need since in most cases soils are heavily overworked. For
example, selenium is lacking in most diets due to its depletion
in UK soils and is an essential part of the body’s antioxidant
enzyme defences that mop up excess-cell damaging free radicals.
Chromium is also often lacking from our diet and is widely known
as the master nutrient to control blood sugar and can help insulin
metabolise fat, turn protein to muscle and convert sugar to energy.
Each day we need 90 essential nutrients made up of 60 minerals,
16 vitamins, 12 essential amino acids and three essential fatty
acids. The human body can absorb 98% of minerals in colloidal form.
Cultures that live to over 100 years have 60-70 minerals taken
from the surrounding glacial waters rich in colloidal minerals.
Antioxidants ‘mop-up’ the free radicals produced as a
result of metabolism and respiration that damage our bodies and eventually
lead to old age and disease. Free radical compound include oxygen
singlet, hydroxy radical, hydrogen peroxide and lipid peroxide are
the ultimate mediators of all disease and aging and are generated
as a result of stress, environmental pollution and eating the wrong
kinds of food with carcinogens, additives and preservatives. It is
possible to remove free radicals using free radical scavengers such
as vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin A and riboflavin (B2 compounds).
On the whole, it is better to take in foods cooked or raw with free
radical scavengers. Food that contains scavengers include the following:
Fruits
in general especially citrus fruits
Green
leafy vegetables e.g. spinage, broccoli
Herbal compounds
At least 50-60% of food intake should be fruit and green vegetables
that also have high water content. However it is not always possible
to have a balanced diet that will provide everything that we need
so supplements are a necessary part of modern living if we are to
keep healthy.Below are some suggestions to rejuvenate the body and
slow down the aging process:
NutriShield:The most comprehensive supplement programme that I have
been able to find is designed by Dr Paul Clayton and called NutriShield.
NutriShield combines the world’s healthiest diets at levels
that are considered optimal for health. NutriShield is in fact the
equivalent of nine nutritional supplements in one! Old age and sickness
are largely due to the cumulative depletion of micro-nutrients. In
order to reduce our chances of developing a degenerative disease
and stay youthful it is necessary to have a full range of micro-nutrients.
According to Dr Clayton a strategy of ‘combination nutrition’ represents
the next wave of health care and prevention that will make degenerative
diseases a rarity. NutriShield contains the following: antioxidants,
carotenoids, flavonoids, omega 3, isoflavones, betaine, pre-biotics,
vitamins and minerals, Q10 and glucosamine all at optimum nutritional
levels.

Human Growth Hormone (HGH): HGH is a naturally
occurring substance in the body that is secreted by the pituitary
gland. It promotes
growth in children and plays an important role in metabolism and
has far reaching importance in preventing and reversing the aging
process. At the age of 25, the peak time for growth hormone the
total secretion amount is 600mg. The secretion amount will be reduced
over
the years and can go down to 15% at the age of 60-70 years. For
people who do not have a balanced diet, the 15% secretion can happen
when
they are only 40-50 years old. These people will have older and
worn out looks that other people of the same age.
Human Growth Hormone is one of many
endocrine hormones like oestrogen, progesterone, testosterone, melatonin
and DHEA that decline with age. While many of these hormones can
be replaced to deter some of the effects of aging, HGH reaches far
beyond the scope of any one of these hormones. Growth hormones circulate
in the blood stream every night between 1 and 4am. If you stay up
late or miss night sleep then you may not be benefiting from the
naturally secreted growth hormone. If we can revitalise the function
of the pituitary gland to deliver sufficient growth hormone we will
have sufficient volume to nourish all organs and rebuild them. Any
extra body fat can be eliminated due to the increase in growth hormone.
By taking natural substances known as secretagogues or homeopathic
potions, the pituitary gland can be stimulated to recover its function
to secrete HGH. HGHhas been clinically proven to melt body fat; increase
muscle mass and tone; restore hair loss and colour; improve cholesterol
levels; normalise blood pressure; improve vision; improve memory;
restore size of liver, pancreas, heart and other organs that shrink
with age; boost energy, strength, stamina and sexual performance;
thicken skin and remove wrinkles; elevate mood and improve sleep;
improve immune function and reverse the effects of aging!
Typical results experienced in clinical trials after 6 months include:
14-20%
fat reduction
7%
increase in skin thickness
1.6%
increase in bone density
19%
improvement of liver
17%
improvement of spleen
Physically
and physiologically appear 20 years younger
